TZA'AD va'CHETZI - Aliyah nach Israel!
MWU Olim Support Program
Committed to Zionism and Jewish Continuity, MWU has developed programs for Aliyah and Absorption in Israel; we devoted recent global seminars to these topics, and the most recent example was the "Israel Center" at the European Maccabi Games in Vienna in July 2011 in conjunction with Israel's Ministry of Absorption and Aliyah.
Now, to encourage those who decide to make Aliyah, we have designed a program to help new Olim (new immigrants), called "Tza'ad va'Chetzi" after the Hebrew for the basketball terms "step and a half", "entry into tray" or "lay-up".
CONCEPT:
It is a straightforward and effective concept of accompanying Olim in their first steps in Israel, starting from such things as opening a bank account, shopping in a supermarket, etc., regardless of where they stay in Israel.
MWU will also arrange Free First-Year Membership of Kfar Maccabiah Country Club and all its facilities, pools, gym, etc.
PROCEDURE:
(1) Every T.O. should make this program known to all their members – including those who already made aliyah this year between Jan-Aug 2011 – and those planning or considering aliyah in 2011 and 2012.
(2) Every 2011-2012 Oleh or prospective Oleh should email basic information to us, preferably in good time before they arrive in Israel: stellas@maccabiworld.org
